A family-run roofing company you can actually get hold of
Best Top Roofing Ltd is a family-run roofing company. When you call, you speak to the family, and the family turns up to do the job. We look after homeowners, landlords and small businesses across Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire, and every roof gets the same care we would give our own home.
Tommy Stokes
Director, Best Top Roofing Ltd
Customers know him as Thomas
- Family-run
- Fixed written prices
- 10 year guarantee on every new re-roof
- Fully insured
Tommy set up Best Top Roofing to be the opposite of the roofer who quotes and sends a different crew. He comes out, looks at the roof and gives you the price himself.
Then the family does the job: honest advice, a fixed price in writing before anything starts and a tidy site at the end of each day.
The roofing trade has a reputation problem, and most of it comes from the same few experiences: a salesman who quotes and a different crew who turns up, a price that grows once the scaffold is up, and a phone that stops being answered once the invoice is paid. Best Top Roofing was set up to be the opposite of that. The company is run by Tommy Stokes, the director, and customers tend to know him as Thomas, the person who comes out, looks at the roof and gives them the price.
We give honest advice, clear quotes and tidy workmanship, and we do not cut corners. That means telling you when a repair will do and when it will not, putting a fixed price in writing before anything starts, and leaving the site clean at the end of each day. It also means taking the time to do the parts of a roof nobody sees properly: the membrane, the battens, the lead and the deck under a flat roof.
Our work covers the whole roof: new roofs and re-roofs in slate, slate-effect, concrete and clay tiles with dry ridge and dry verge systems; flat roofs in EPDM rubber, GRP fibreglass and felt; roof repairs, emergency repairs and storm damage; chimney rebuilds, repointing, flaunching, cowls and chimney removal; leadwork cut and dressed by hand; roof timbers for extensions and gables; and uPVC fascias, soffits and guttering to finish the job.
We cover North Hertfordshire around Hitchin, Stevenage, Letchworth, Baldock and Royston, Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield, West Hertfordshire around St Albans, Harpenden, Hemel Hempstead and Watford, and Northamptonshire around Northampton, Wellingborough and Kettering. Our customers score us 5.0 on Google, and every new re-roof we fit carries a 10 year guarantee.
